Pat O'Doherty
Pat led ESB, one of Ireland’s largest companies, as CEO, guiding 8,500 people through transformational change with a deep commitment to the organisation’s purpose for customers and society.
An engineer with more than 25 years of leadership experience, Pat has held roles spanning engineering, project management, operations, customer service, and organisational change in complex stakeholder environments. He brings the wisdom and hard-won experience of someone who has led at the highest level and navigated its demands first-hand.
He understands that executive leadership can be lonely and personally demanding, and he knows the value of good coaching and mentoring from lived experience. Pat brings warmth, generosity and genuine curiosity to his work with leaders and organisations. His focus is on creating a safe space where clients can discover their own resources, using collaborative and reflective inquiry to generate new insights, always with an eye on the wider system of stakeholders and environment.
Pat holds a number of non-executive chair roles in the private and voluntary/charity sectors.
